29June

We arrive in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon to an overwhelming amount of work and our niece struggling to keep it together. We laid out a plan and started. First stop Home Depot ( new laundry sink and cabinet, new exterior door and 30 Amp circuit breaker to get power to the trailer a/c 🤪.
Nicole started posting items for sale and people started arriving to take things
Many dumpster trips.
This morning (29th) painters are arriving at 8A, Nicole is working on landscaping and Bob and I are tackling the barn/workshop.

June 27 update

Yesterday we left Quakertown deciding to go south on Rt95 rather than Rt81 through the Shenandoah Valley.Bad choice. 95 was backups all day as much as an 1 1/2 delay south of Baltimore.  Add a little rain to wash the bug tar off the wind shield and you have Avery tiring day.. We quit at 5:30 in Roanoke Rapids,  NC. It nice place to sleep: Carolina Crossing RV Resort.
Today is Bob's birthday
It's just 7:00A and on Rt95 heading south.
My neck is still a little tender. While playing gold, I got nailed by a stray ball. I was just off the 9th green and someone teeing off on the 10th sliced his drive. Nothing like getting hit by a ball traveling 80-100 mph. Luckily it hit just back of my jaw below my ear. Took 1 hole to recover from the shock. I'm fine.

Travel Day😊

After our day off yesterday we're heading south. We left Quakertown at 7:30 AM and decided to take 95 rather than 81 due to lack of available rv park opening along the Shenandoah Valley.
An update from yesterday:

Three old guys after 18 holes at Macoby  Golf course.  When we were on the 9th green I was hit in the side of my neck by a ball hit from the 10th tee. No damage done just a very sore neck.
We visited The Wind Creek casino in Bethlehem,  PA a converted steel mill and added a few buck to my wallet 🧙‍♂️👌🧙‍♂️

This morning we're meeting Jim for our first round of golf at Macoby Run .

I was a great day, weather was beautiful and we didn't loose too many golf balls.
After 18 we went to Jim and Karen's for lunch and and an afternoon of relaxing.
Jim's heading out tomorrow morning to guide a river tour and Bob and I are heading further south. Probably land between Knoxville and Chattanooga,  Tennessee.

Heading South

24 June 2021, 7:00AM EDT

The new heat pump is installed and working; the new hitch with anti-sway contol ready to go (repairs from our 2020 adventures )...but that's another story.

The goal of this trip is to help our niece deal with her Mom's estate and golf 😊

Starting in Candia, NH. First stop Quakertown,  PA. With plans to visit Jim, Karen, and JD Shulte.

We arrived in Quakertown at 4:30 and were told masks were required. Asked why, as we're fully vaccinated. The woman said they were following CDC directives. After disagreeing she said that the business decided to ignore the current directives and continue requiring masks until June 28th. Once the discussion ended we signed in without ever donning a mask.

We met Jim and JD for dinner at the Spinnertown Hotel restaurant which is still working on a smaller menu (but no masks). Food was good and catching up with Jim and JD was great.
