June 26 Sunday

Leaving Fort Peck, Montana this morning. There is no wind. It su ny and 63°F at 7AM.
We stopped for breakfast in Malta, MT. Worst service took 20 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge that we were there and 35 minutes to get food once we ordered 😩.
The photo of the yellow fields Canola. This is a rotation crop that is used to replenish the soil, kill weeds and pests. The main crop is wheat or barley. These yellow fields stretch across Montana, Alberta and British Columbia.
The drive was uneventful and we arrived in Browning, MT about 20 miles east of the East Gate of Glacier National Park. Once checked into the RV park, the Sleeping Wolf RV park, we headed to the park to start our exploring.
Turns out that the one road that goes through the park, The Road to the Sun,
requires pre-registration and was sold out and there isn't an East gate to the park but a town called East Gate where you can buy souvenirs.  We ended up at Two Medicines Lake in the park and walked around a bit and of course collected rocks in a near by glacial stream ( ice water)..
After returning to the RV park we decided neither of us felt like cooking so we went looking for a place for dinner. Browning is the tribal HQ for the Blackfoot/Cree Indian Reservation.  There was nothing in this town that has been opened in the last 25 years except the Casino. So wehad a late meal at the casino and afterwards we each made a small donation to the tribe
🤣
